Llanbedr Pont Steffan, Ceredigion, Cymru, UK. QRA Locator = IO72XD and WAB/OS Square = SN61
My location (my QTH) is about 2miles from the town of Llanbedr Pont Steffan (or Lampeter in English) next to the river Teifi. Although we're situated near the bottom of a valley - so not especially good for VHF/UHF operation. I'm surrounded by tall trees and open fields in all directions which allows me to experiment with some VERY large LF and HF wire antennas! My Radio Shack is situated at about 150m Above Sea Level with the hillside rising fairly steeply to around 225m ASL in a north easterly direction over about 350m and I'm very lucky to have the use of approximately 25 acres in total...
I also operate from a flat near Reading, Berkshire as G1HRW & G0IRW which offers a totally different set of antenna, EMC and RX noise challenges!
My HF antennas here in Wales include a 180' T2FT (Terminated Folded Dipole) at 70' AGL which I use on all bands 160-6m without an ATU. An 80m Delta Loop for DX with it's apex up about 75' AGL and a 200' Doublet fed with 450 ohm ribbon at about 45' AGL which is my primary 80m 'near Europe/inter-G' Antenna. I also have an Inverted-V resonant at 1825 Kc and N/S/E/W Beverages for DX receive on 40m, 80m & Top Band. I am always making other aerials amongst which currently include a 750m Horizontal Loop which is still rather "work in progress" and I fly a number of Kite Aerials.
I also have 5 Elements on 6m - plus M2's with Az/El control for 2m, 70cm and 23cm, although these get little use due to the poor V/U/SHF location ;o(
